The 33 Annual Twins Days festival, August 2 & 3 (Always the first full weekend in August) It started in 1976 for the country’s bi-centennial.)
Open to the public. (3500 sets of twins expected, general attendance at 65,000) National and International media will be there. (Discovery, HBO, BBC) Great people watching event.
Glen Chamberlin Park on Rt. 14, Ravenna Road in Twinsburg Ohio. Park is behind the Chamberlin Middle School. (Broadway-Forbes exit on I-480, follow Rt. 14 into Twinsburg.)
Parking across the street at Dodge Middle school, or next door at the Twinsburg High School. $2 parking fee for the Twinsburg Sports Boosters. Free shuttle service to the festival entrance.
2½ hour Saturday Morning all-twins, “Double Take Parade” at 9am, from the square (Rts. 91 & 82, half mile up Rt. 14, to the festival grounds. (This year featuring the entire Twinsburg Police Dept. and fallen Officer Josh Miktarian’s canine, Bajio.”) (The sheriff’s department will patrol the city.)
Activities: Twins Talent Show, Twins look-alike contests, Twins research tents, Arts & Crafts, children’s games and rides, Food venders, BBQ chicken dinners, twins’ group photo, 2 stages with live entertainment, souvenir tent, and Saturday night twin fireworks display at dusk, dedicated to Officer Miktarian.
Festival is operated by a non-profit festival committee, not the city, therefore to help pay expenses, there is a $3 gate admission for all ages 5 and older. Twins not yet registered, can do so right at the festival entrance.
