SLIDER stopped by the show this morning as The TRIBE gets set to begin Cactus League play in Arizona. CURTIS DANBURG of The TRIBE PR Team surprised me by letting me know I get to throw out a first pitch at Progressive Field this year!! I’m thrilled! Throwing out a first pitch at a Major League game has been on my life list!! Time for a lil Spring Training of my own : )

The BARENAKED LADIES played The Q104 Coffee Shop at The Idea Center Friday night. The band played a handful of songs from their upcoming new disc and a couple of older songs. The highlight of the evening was an acoustic version of “One Week”.

It was a bit odd seeing the band play without Steven, who left the band with personal issues. TYLER didn’t make the trip because of his committment to The Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He’s doing some work as a musical coordinator there.

Overall, BNL sounded great! Our listeners who attended the private performance were awesome and really appreciated the intimate show. I truly enjoyed hosting the event. It’s always a gift to see such talented musicians play in such a close up atomsphere.
